Six Kittens Need Urgent Eye Surgery

Warning: Some photos on this page contain graphic medical images.

A litter of seven kittens arrived at Siskiyou Humane Society on July 12 after being found living beneath a house.

Despite treatment, their condition rapidly worsened. One kitten was humanely euthanized due to the severity of illness.

The remaining six kittens have suffered irreversible eye damage. Three require emergency eye removal surgery immediately, and the other three are expected to need surgery soon.

Veterinarians believe the kittens are suffering from severe complications associated with feline herpesvirus (FHV-1).

Your donation will help provide:

  • Eye surgeries
  • Medications
  • Follow-up veterinary care
  • Recovery support

We cannot save their eyes, but we can save them from a lifetime of pain.

Goal: $3000

Emergency Care for Baby Girl & Baby Angel

Our medical fund is stretched even further with two more urgent cases requiring critical care:

  • Baby Girl came to us with suspected parvovirus. She has needed intensive support including subcutaneous fluids, electrolytes, medications, and ongoing monitoring.

  • Baby Angel was rushed in for an emergency veterinary visit and diagnosed with Puppy Strangles (Juvenile Cellulitis), a painful immune-mediated condition requiring specialized medical treatment and heavy medications.

Between Baby Angel’s emergency vet bills ($343.61) and replacing the vital sub-Q fluid bags used to stabilize Baby Girl, we are asking for an additional $400 to cover their care.
Your donation will help recover the cost of an emergency vet visit and replenish our Sub -Q for the next pet in need.
Goal: $400

Current Medical Needs

Five kittens are suffering from painful eye conditions that require surgery. Without treatment, they risk ongoing pain and permanent vision loss. Your donation helps provide the specialized care they urgently need.

Baby Girl and Baby Angel are receiving treatment for serious illness. Their recovery requires medications, veterinary visits, and ongoing care. Your support gives these puppies the chance to heal and find loving homes.
