Every animal deserves access to medical care, regardless of the cost. Donations to the Medical Fund help provide emergency treatment, surgery, medications, diagnostic testing, and other lifesaving veterinary services for animals in Siskiyou County.
The cases below represent animals currently receiving care that exceeds our normal operating budget. Donations may be directed to a specific case or used where they are needed most.

A litter of seven kittens arrived at Siskiyou Humane Society on July 12 after being found living beneath a house.
Despite treatment, their condition rapidly worsened. One kitten was humanely euthanized due to the severity of illness.
The remaining six kittens have suffered irreversible eye damage. Three require emergency eye removal surgery immediately, and the other three are expected to need surgery soon.
Veterinarians believe the kittens are suffering from severe complications associated with feline herpesvirus (FHV-1).
