Siskiyou Humane Society Spay/Neuter Assistance Programs

Our programs help cover the costs of spay/neuter procedures for pets in our community. Services depend on available funding and our veterinary partners.

We may not be able to fulfill all requests, so we encourage you to also explore other options.

We Have TWO Spay/Neuter Assistance Programs!

VOUCHER PROGRAM

We provide vouchers worth $100 for cats and $200 for dogs. These can be used at the following vet offices(subject to availability): 

  • Companion Pet Clinic, Klamath Falls
  • West & East Ridge Animal Hospital, Klamath Falls
  • Alpine Vet, Weed
  • Mt Shasta Animal Hospital, Mt Shasta
  • Ponderosa Vet, Yreka
  • Scott Valley Vet, Fort Jones
  •  

Voucher Recipient Responsibilities: 

  • You must schedule the appointment and provide transportation. 
  • You are responsible for any costs over the voucher amount. 
  • Vouchers are non-transferable and must be used within 6 months. 
  • Only one voucher per household. 
  • Vouchers are issued on a first-come, first-served basis.

TRANSPORT & LOW-COST APPOINTMENTS(Pay What You Can) 

  • Drop off your pet at the Siskiyou Humane Society in Mount Shasta. 
  • Your pet will stay overnight and be transported to a partner vet for the procedure. 
  • This program is “Pay What You Can” and is less available than the voucher program.
